1/2 head red cabbage
1/2 cup(s) vegetable oil
1/2 cup(s) plus 2 tbsp red wine vinegar
3 tbsp sugar
2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
3/4 teaspoon onion powder Shred cabbage so that it is irregular
with some finely shredded and some coarsely shredded
into a bowl. Add oil
seasoned salt
pepper and onion powder; mix well.
Allow to stand several hour(s) or preferably overnight (refrigerated) to allow the flavors to mellow and the slaw achieves a deep red color
