1/4 cup butter — softened

1/3 cup apricot preserves

15 ounces ricotta cheese

1/2 cup sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla

3 squares semisweet baking chocolate — chopped

1/2 cup finely chopped toasted almonds

1/4 cup chopped dried apricots

1 cup whipping cream — whipped

1/4 cup slivered almonds — toasted
