sesame prune slices
For the base:
175g plain white flour
125g unsalted butter or margarine
50g caster sugar
For the filling:
225g no need to soak dried prunes
15g dark muscovado sugar
1/2 tspn cornflour
For the topping:
125g unsalted butter or margarine
75g caster sugar
1 tbsp honey
125g no need to soak dried prunes
125g self raising white flour
1/2 tspn bicarbonate of soda
125g medium oatmeal
50g sesame seeds
Grease a small roasting tin.
To make the base sift the flour into a bowl. Add butter or margarine cut into small pieces and rub in the sugar using fingertips or a food processor until mixture begins to cling together.
Turn into the tin and pack the mixture down well with the back of a tablespoon.
