STRAWBERRY POUND CAKE
1 1/3 cups granulated sugar
1 cup butter, softened
4 eggs
2 cups flour
Pinch of salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2/3 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan. Cream together sugar and butter in a large bowl. Add eggs, flour and salt, mixing well. Add strawberries and vanilla extract and continue mixing. Pour batter into loaf pan and bake for about 1 hour or until a wooden pick comes out clean when inserted in the center of the cake.
