fruit sauce for vanilla ice cream
225g punnet of blackcurrants
4 tbsps sugar
Pull the fruit off their stalks.
Drop the fruit into a stainless steel saucepan then pour in a couple of tablespoons of water.
Bring to the boil turn down the heat and cook gently for 5 or 6 minutes until the juices have started to run from the fruit.
Add the sugar.
Serve warm or chilled with vanilla ice cream.
