196g selfraising flour
224g caster sugar
1/2tspsalt
28g cocoa
112g margarine
2eggs beaten with 5 tbsp evapourated milk and
5 tbsp water
few drops vanilla essence
Method
I Sieve flour sugar salt and cocoa into a bowl
2 Rub in margarine until mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs
3 Stir in eggs liquid and essence beat well
4 Divide mixture between 2 x 8in (20.5cm) greased tins
5 Bake in preheated oven
6 When cooked remove from tins allow to cool and then sandwich together with desired filling
