12 small oblong potatoes
salt
3 tablespoons margarine or butter
3 tablespoons grated cheese
Wash and peel the potatoes.
Cut in thin slices without cutting quite through; the potato shouid remain whole at the bottom.
If large potatoes are used cut in half lengthwise and place cut side down before slicing.
Put the potatoes sliced side up in a well buttered baking dish.
Sprinkle with salt and dot with margarine or butter.
Bake in a 225C oven for 20 minutes.
Sprinkle with cheese and bake for another 20 minutes.
